Post Acute Rehabilitation

Neurobehavioral clients create unique challenges in traditional rehabilitation settings such as acute rehabilitation units within a hospital, specialized rehabilitation hospitals, and outpatient rehabilitation delivery systems.  Changes in the clients’ personality and severity of their problematic behaviors often create disruptions and obstacles to beneficial participation in these traditional licensed rehabilitation therapies.  The Post Acute Residential Rehabilitation Program at Restore Neurobehavioral Center may be an appropriate alternative or option to continue to address maximum functional recovery while simultaneously beginning remediation and/or the elimination of problematic behaviors.

Our central treatment facility, located in the metro-Atlanta area of Roswell, Georgia, allows for true individualization of treatment.  Average staff-to-client ratios are 1:4 and will be as high as 1:1 when required for safety or treatment plan implementation.  Our treatment environment is home-like with options for both secure and open access areas.  Therapeutic plans incorporate utilization of both facility based clinical environments as well as the surrounding community to promote generalization of newly acquired skills sets for transition back into the community.

Our approach to rehabilitation involves a coordinated multi-disciplinary team.  This team includes licensed Physical (PT), Occupational (OT), and Speech (SLP) Therapists, neuropsychology, clinical pharmacology, skilled nursing, certified alcohol and drug addiction counseling, behavioral coordination and management, vocational instruction, and specially trained paraprofessionals under the medical direction of a physiatrist.  Specialty consults as may be medically indicated are arranged and ordered through community based providers consistent with existing funding source network provisions.
